Hello world! My name is Gina Parpart. I am married to my husband Josh. We have 3 beautiful children, 2 girls and 1 boy, Arabella, Gracie and Jamis. I homeschool my children and love it! We have horses! I love my horses and love riding! One of my dreams was to barrel race in the rodeo. We also have chickens, outdoor cats and a dog. We love it out here! It is peaceful, like a piece of heaven. I have owned two companies in the past. One was a lawn care and landscape business and the other was a business where I taught people how to paint. I loved doing both of them, but as time passed and my husband got a new job that required us to relocate, so I sold one of them, and the other I continued for a bit longer, until I really felt the Lord Jesus telling me to homeschool my children. So, that is what I did. This blog will be dedicated mostly to showing you why I have named this blog The Butterfly Mum. It is my story that I want to tell about the trials and tribulations that come with being a parent of a special needs child and how I have learned to offer my family a better healthy lifestyle while listening to God’s plan for my life. It has been an incredible journey and I feel if I can help another mom, even if it’s just one mom, it will all be worth it. My daughter Gracie was diagnosed with Turner Syndrome when I was only 12 weeks pregnant. It was a day I will never forget. A day that changed my life forever. I will reveal to you all my struggles, pain, heartache, you name it, I probably went through it. I bet you’re wondering why a Butterfly? Well, the symbol for Turner Syndrome girls is a butterfly symbol. You can find The Turner Syndrome Society’s website here for more information about these incredible girls/women. I really hope you enjoy my blog and follow along with me about how Gracie inspired me and so many people around her then and even now. Blessings to you all. Love, Gina Romans 12:12
